TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Mica Paper

Mica is found in two grades, muscovite and uncalcinated phologopite. By reconstituting the mica into a mica paper, this can then be bonded to various backing materials such as glass fabric or polyester film. By impregnating these with different resins a mica tape is produced suitable for a range of high voltage applications.
